I’m not always sure if one needs a broadax or a nap in order to keep writing, but The Broadax is my attempt to explore what helps us keep going. It’s an occasional newsletter focused around motherhood, caretaking, dayjobbing, and creative writing. Here you’ll find interviews with writers (mostly poets) about the importance of friendship and community, my own reflections on maintaining (or not maintaining) a creative practice, and maybe a book review or two.
